    Hey Dean,
Because there are quite a few styles and scripts involved I don’t plan on supporting shortcodes. Easy Photography Portfolio is a fully fledged portfolio system for WordPress. It’s not some gallery that you can paste in somewhere in-between your content. That’s why “EPP” is different from other “galleries” out there. The “Portfolio” it’s meant to be the content on your site, just like “Blog” is the news/articles section on your site.

That said – you can make an existing page to show your portfolio using the plugin settings. Have a look here: https://youtu.be/MKDWnxmcRWA?t=1m35s

Just be aware that when you set a page to display the portfolio – it’s going to display the portfolio, nothing else.

    Hope that clears things up,
    Cheers,
    Norris.

Hi I have a similar question… I understand what it supposed to be, but is it possible to have two portfolios assigned to two pages? each to one page…?

Andrew – by portfolios do you mean single portfolio entries (galleries) or albums (aka portfolio archives) ?

….to have 2 or 3 pages each one with a gallery of albums ; I think that’s the best way to explain it.

One album is one item in actual portfolio, which contains several pictures.

I think I need an example, otherwise we won’t understand each other.

At the moment the plugin is capable of structuring your site in Categories. For example:

example.com/portfolio/category/weddings with 3 posts of weddings
example.com/portfolio/category/newborn-photography with 9 different newborn sessions

example.com/portfolio is going to show all of the posts ( weddings and newborn photography ), but if you don’t want to show all posts, you can just link directly to a category from the menu.

Ah,ok…I ‘ll try to use your examples…maybe I can achieve what I want… and instead of what I initially asked, I could link the menus directly to portfolio categories as you suggested unintentionally ?? .. will give it a try. Thanks for the fast reply!

example.com/portfolio/category/weddings is not working. If i open the link in the portfolio categories using the “view” link, I receive the message ” OOPS! THAT PAGE CAN’T BE FOUND.” on the page. I think it’s a good ideea if it works. Any suggestions ? I’m using wordpress 4.7.2

can you show an example on your demo site? I would expect :
    https://default.portfolio.bycolormelon.com/portfolio/category/food/
but it redirects and removes the “category” word from adress

    1. Just to make sure – you do have a weddings portfolio category created, and portfolio entires assigned to it ?
    2. Have you set your permalinks correctly ?

Can you post a link to your site ?

    It’s on a intern/local server . I will check what you’ve suggested. Thank you!
