    Hi bluen4,

    thanks for reaching out.

PeepSo did write their own integration with Advanced Ads so it is possible that this is a question for them rather than for us. Would you be able to reach out to them? If you bought one of their extensions then you can use their premium support.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

@webzunft thank you for your quick reply, appreciated.

Yes, I already contacted them (@peepso) on their support forum, and they told me to ask you. So now I dont know who can help.

From my testing, I can say the peepso integration only integrates the Ads, but for adding the ads, it is made with your extension. When selecting the Ad for the pepso stream, it gives only the option for atting an avatar (image), a description with some limited html and url… but no shortcodes or any code.

Could you have a look please?

    Hi bluen4,

    thanks for your feedback.

Which ad type are you using?

    > When selecting the Ad for the pepso stream

Where do you do this? Is a placement involved? If so, which placement type?

    > it gives only the option for atting an avatar (image), a description with some limited html and url

Advanced Ads does not use the term “avatar” and our Image ad type does only have a field to upload the image and add a target URL, but no custom HTML. Custom HTML ads are added in the Plain Text ad type only. Please correct me, but it sounds like this is not one of our ad types.

Each ad has a shortcode. You can find it below the ad title if you disable the “Wizard” while editing an ad.

The “Manual” placement under Advanced Ads > Placements also comes with a shortcode you could use.

When it comes to placing the ad within a stream created by PeepSo then I think this was part of their integration, but maybe I am still missing something. I hope my feedback and questions bring us closer to figuring it out.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

I took some screenshots, and I hope this helps to understand better.

As you can see, when selecting the Ad type option, in Ad parameters there is no options to allow executing shortcodes for the Ad.

    Thank you again

    Hi bluen4,

    thanks for the screenshot.

This ad type is 100% code from the PeepSo integration and not part of Advanced Ads.

    > As you can see, when selecting the Ad type option, in Ad parameters there is no options to allow executing shortcodes for the Ad.

I don’t know if their ad type does allow executing shortcodes. In Advanced Ads, you can execute shortcodes using the Plain Text or Rich Content ad type.

So if I understand correctly and you want to add a shortcode of another plugin to execute in the ad content of a PeepSo Stream Ad then you would need to ask PeepSo to enable it. Please feel free to send them the link to this thread. If I am still missing something then they can reply here.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Thank you Thomas for your quick reply, and for clarification about the subject. Yes, it’s what I want, adding a shortcode to execute in the ad content.

I will then ask them again, and linking them to this thread.

Thanks Thomas for your help and for this great extension.

did you receive any feedback from PeepSo or is there anything I can still help with?

    Hi Thomas,

Yes, I contacted them, and it seems that at the moment chosing that ad type (stream), it does not allow html integration.

But I tested with Rich content Ad type and chosed stream placement, and it worked for some shortcode cases. But I need to test it more.

The only think Is maybe if you cooperate already with them, maybe you can achieve a more complete integration.

Thank you Thomas again for your help and for this great extension

    Hi bluen4,

    thanks for your feedback.

I can also only ask them about it since it is 100% their development, but I will do at least that.

    Best regards,
    Thomas
