Is that a CPT being created, because I can’t get Ideas to display in a widget showing CPTs.

It’s CPT which is publicly queryable. What does your query look like?

It doesn’t appear if you try to select it from a dropdown list of post types.

A dropdown list of postypes? I’m going to guess that you’re using some type of plugin. Whatever plugin you’re using should respect CPT’s that are publicly queryable, but not public.

I’ve setup a simple shortcode to run a query to get the ideas, and it’s working as expected. Here’s a screenshot:

That’s just an example showing you that it’s queryable. You’ll need to write whatever you need to write on your own.

Gonna close this out but hit me up if you have any other questions. BTW 1.1 was just released which includes a shortcode to display things in addition or instead of the automatic archive.
