    Hello,

I’m trying to use the generated short code in an Elementor Text-Field to show how many people have already filled out a form. But the short code does not seem to work. It just shows like [cfc_serial_number_4506], whereas other short codes from other plugins correctly show text or content.

    Is there something I’m missing?

  • As it seems, we both had the same misunderstanding that with the shortcode a counter is displayed in the frontend. If you look carefully, the field showing the shortcode is labeled as “Mail Shortcode”. The administrator will then see a counter or timestamp in the email he gets after the form was submitted.

    Hi @mirkonik , @pixolin

We apologize for the delay in our response. Shortcode is working well there is no issue with the shortcode. The Contact Form Counter Plugin is an extension for the “Contact Form 7” plugin that enhances its functionality. It allows administrators to incorporate counters, timers, or timestamps into the emails they receive through the form. This feature is particularly useful when the shortcode is inserted into the subject field of the form. With this setup, each email received will be treated as a separate entity, and a counter, timer, or timestamp will be automatically added to the subject field, even if the subject line provided is the same. In the example screenshot (https://prnt.sc/2VfLRVw62z3m), the subject field contains the shortcode, and the counter plugin displays the initial number as “10.”

    Thanks
