Short URL’s for posting to social media accounts

  • I’m trying to determine if I can have the url’s automatically shortened OR automatically use the Permalink when a visitor shares an image to social media. The easy way to see the long links is to try to share to Twitter. I have read the doc’s and searched the forums but cannot find an answer. I am using the ‘Share this Image’ plugin because I could not find a way to have MaxButtons share images rather than pages and posts.

    I am using the latest version of WP, MaxGalleria Pro, Media Library Folders, and all other plugins on a DIVI site.

    It seems that if you want the Share this Image plugin to use short URLs, then you should discuss this with the Share this Image plugin author.

    Thanks for responding AlanP57. As I stated “I am using the ‘Share this Image’ plugin because I could not find a way to have MaxButtons share images rather than pages and posts.” – BUT I would love for MaxGalleria or MaxButtons be able to do this instead of another plugin. So if they can do this, then can someone help explain what needs done to make it happen? Thanks.
