    I have posted two short posts and one long post over the past two to three days. When I look at the feed the short posts contain “garbage” at the end while the long posts are fine. I’ve tried deleting these short posts and recreating them but still get the garbage.

    Short post example: https://kitchentablewisdom.com/ktw_blog/2008/11/27/power-of-one/#comments

    Feed looks like:

    If ever you think you cannot achieve what you desire – keep watching this until you believe once again. E:60 Feature Power of One addthis_url = ‘http%3A%2F%2Fkitchentablewisdom.com%2Fktw_blog%2F2008%2F11%2F27%2Fpower-of-one%2F’; addthis_title = ‘Power+Of+One’; addthis_pub = ‘lewatson’;

    * also note the feed entry from Nov 24 still appears even though I deleted the entry.

    Long post example: https://kitchentablewisdom.com/ktw_blog/2008/11/26/no-more-crackers-please/

    Feed looks like:

    Yesterday I roamed the aisles of the local grocery store searching for the few remaining items we wanted to include in the Holiday Hampers for the local woman’s shelter. I wandered up one aisle with shelves overflowing with pop and down the next brimming with potato chips. Over one row was an entire aisle of cereal followed by another one stocked half way […]

    I am stumped as to what is going on and how to correct this so the garbage doesn’t appear.

    Thanks for any thoughts on what to do. All these posts were made agter upgrading to v2.6.5.

    It looks like the AddThis plugin is causing this. Try disabling it to see if the problem goes away.

    Thanks for the heads up towards AddThis.

    I’ve spent the day doing further testing and this appears to be a problem related to the combination of RSS, AddThis and short posts. Everything seems to be working properly using Atom as the feed.

    The RSS feeds don’t appear to be updating (or at least as I would expect them to) and there is a difference between the results shown on /feed and /?feed=rss2.

    Nix my response from yesterday.

    The AddThis code showing up in the feeds seems to “disappear” when the first paragraph is three lines or greater. The code also doesn’t appear on one post I have where the first paragraph just wraps onto a second line but there is an image that follows.

    Still scratching my head.

    The AddThis folks are working on a new version of the button / plugin for WP. When I find out it is available I’ll post an update.

    The new AddThis plug-in has been added … v1.5 I believe … and has corrected this problem.

    The addition of parameter changes via the Settings > AddThis menu is a very welcome addition.
