    Hi!

I get the following error when using a word press short link:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function get_home_path() in /www/htdocs/blabla/blog.austria-insiderinfo.com/…/plugins/backup-wd/includes/buwd.php:249

So it seems that Backup WD uses an deprecated function which kills other functionality.

    Thanx for your help
    Horst

Sorry for beeing a bit unclear since there are many shortlinks I could use. I did not think about that.

I’m using a WordPress shortlinks like this:
    https://wp.me/p8mzqE-1zG

I’m not sure if this functionality came back again with one of the newer WP versions (it disappeared in 4.4) or the change of my theme. What I’m sure about: I’m not using any special plugin for generating the shortlink / re-displaying the shortlink button.

    I’m speaking about this button:
    https://wpism.com/enable-get-shortlink-button-wordpress/

After deactivating Backup WD the generated shortlinks are working again.
I hope this additional information helps you in finding the error.

    Thanx and nice greetings
    Horst

    Hi, @hgassner!

Unfortunately, this button is not available in newest versions of WordPress. Could you please mention the version you are using on your site?

Also, please let us know which theme you have. We will check if this is a general bug or a problem specific to your website.

    Thanks! Have a great day!

    Hello ??

I’m using (of cause ?? ) the latest version of WordPress – 4.8.2.
    My theme is called Voyager.

Debug output (I’ve anonymized parts of the path):

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function __() in
    /www/htdocs/xxx/blog.austria-insiderinfo.com/wp-admin/includes/file.php:16

    #7 /www/htdocs/xxx/blog.a in /www/htdocs/xxx/blog.austria-insiderinfo.com/wp-content/plugins/backup-wd/includes/buwd.php on line 249

Strange: it seems that the backups are still running, even if I’ve deactivated the plugin (not absolutely sure about it but the log looks like this is the case).

    Nice greetings
