short codes showing 2 future events

[events_list scope="future" limit=2 pagination=0]
[locations_map height=260px scope="future" limit=2]

I tried the above 2 shortcodes together but the events that they show are not the same. the list shortcode is correct but the map shortcode does not show future events.
