    Hi,

I use a plugin called “WPi Designer Button Shortcode” on my WordPress web site.

Some time around WordPress 4.7, the way I was using the plugin stopped working. I had the developer of the plugin investigate the issue, and they provided a workaround with a modification of the WordPress code.

The issue had to do with WordPress no longer allowing short codes inside of an Image Caption. I was putting “WPi Designer Button Shortcode” values into my image Caption fields to have a CTA Button centered but attached to my image (below the image). This worked wonderfully before a WordPress change that apparently is now filtering out my short codes from the Caption before the plugin can do it’s job.

The plugin developer provided what I think is a fix for this issue. It is documented at this support link:

I hope this fix or something similar can be incorporated into a future WordPress release.

    Regards,
    Jagger
