Short Caption

  • Hi,
    On thumbnails i want to show image title and album title.
    this is displaying ok as i am using the title and descriptions in the admin area.

    My issue is that i want the image to display just the title but when its opened it has to show the full description.

    On this link provided you will see what i mean on the first image. The first image title should only say (Fish out of water) the rest of that text i need to display only when the larger lightbox image is opened.

    Any help on this would be great! i have tried using shortcode template caption but its not working corrcetly and it takes away the styles of my thumbnail

    @venda – You may need to create a custom template to do what you are trying to accomplish for the gallery … and you may need to adjust the (third-party?) Lightbox Effect you are using as well.

    how would i create this in a new custom template? I use a custom template for these pages called portfolio. what do i need to add into the template to get the result i need?

    @venda – I am referring to a custom NextGEN Gallery template, not necessarily a custom theme template (although it may also be beneficial depending on your particular requirements).
