How can I create a payment page with a membership-free shopping link and a member login form?

A direct form and member login appears on the Woocommerce payment page. When I hide the form, the form does not appear when I log in. If I don’t hide it, they will mostly shop without being a member.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey there, @atlantis1525! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

How can I create a payment page with a membership-free shopping link and a member login form?

By default, WooCommerce offers the option to allow customers to order only if they have(or create at checkout) an account on your website, or allow anyone to purchase without needing an account.

This is something you can change on WooCommerce > Settings > Account & Privacy.

Do you mind sharing more details about your goals and needs so we can share the best suggestions?

How do you want this to look on your website?

Do you want people to still be able to order without an account?

Regarding the membership, do you want it to just be a regular account, or do you want it to be a more robust type with maybe paying memberships, benefits, etc?

Once we know more about your goal, we will be able to guide you in the right direction.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

As you mentioned, in the Woocommerce settings section, we can choose to display the login link and the non-membership shopping form together on the checkout page. That’s okay. However, in this state, the customer is turning to non-membership shopping because it is easier.

On the contrary, if a member login form and a non-membership shopping link appear on the checkout page, the rate of ordering as a member will increase. I’m even thinking of writing a warning like ‘not recommended for order tracking’ next to the non-membership shopping link.

In short, my goal is to create a checkout page that will facilitate and encourage the customer to continue shopping as a member.

    Hi there @atlantis1525,

my goal is to create a checkout page that will facilitate and encourage the customer to continue shopping as a member.

I understand that you want to encourage your customers to shop as members by making the member login form more prominent and adding a warning next to the non-membership shopping link.

In WooCommerce, you can customize the checkout page layout with some template customization or with the help of a plugin like Checkout Fields Editor & Manager.

I understand, it’s important to make the checkout process as smooth as possible for your customers. Encouraging membership is a great idea, but it should not make the process more complicated for your customers.

    I hope this helps.
