Shopping cart with multiple discount and shipping options

  • Hi.

    I’m trying to find a wordpress shopping plugin that allows the following options and discounts on sales and shipping:

    1.Postage per item reduces as the quantity of the same item ordered is increased.
    2. Maximum shipping cost for total order.
    3. Free shipping for orders over certain amount.
    4. Overall postage of order is either calculated by weight or size dimensions or both.
    5. Apply a discount if item A is bought with item C.

    Any suggestions of any wordpress plugin that can support these options will be greatly appreciated. Interested in both free and pay-for shopping cart systems.

    probably covers most of your shipping requirements.

    For Item 5 you probably want a “bundle” plugin or a platform that supports bundles out of the box.

    Personally I reckon it’s a lot easier bending your business model to suit the platform than trying to get the platform to implement *precisely* your own shipping / bundle / discount model.

    It may not be obvious, but shipping / bundles / discounts / tax and so on are really quite complicated once you start looking into them!

    If anyone knows how these compare to WP Ecommerce and Woocommerce I would be very grateful for your advice too.

    So with a little research and advice from the WP eCommerce team I have now installed Lee’s plugin.

    Can anyone recommend the best theme for implementing WP eCommerce?
