Shopping cart not updating

So with only the default Storefront theme and core WooCommerce plugin active the issue persists and the product added to the cart still disappears after few seconds, right?

This is a bit strange, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Also, do you see any Fatal Error under WooCommerce > Status > Logs? If yes, please copy and paste it here.

Hi @devriesrjj Please make sure that you are not serving cache to either the Cart or Checkout pages. Cache should never be served there. This will also depend on who you are hosted with as well.

Hi @rainfallnixfig, I’ve tried with three themes so far, but all seem to be giving me this result. I checked the logs, but there’s only mentioning of updates as far as I can see.

Hi @serafinnyc, is that something I should be able to find in my hosting dashboard? I already contacted the hosting provider, and they couldn’t find anything weird.

As correctly advised by @serafinnyc you have to make sure that the Cart and Checkout pages are not being cached. You can check that with your host.

There are a few more things you can try. The first one is to enable debug logging in WordPress. To do that, edit the wp-config.php file in the root folder of the site on the server. Add this:

define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

As errors are logged, they should appear in wp-content/debug.log. You can open this file in a text editor and go from there.
