Shopping cart it is empty.

  • Hello everyone,

    There is an issue with the “WooCommerce PayPal Payments” plugin and “Advanced Product Fields Pro for WooCommerce”.

    Here, I have the option to select additional options.

    As soon as I do that and add the item to the cart, then view the cart, it’s empty.

    Only as a guest. I thought it was due to “Advanced Product Fields Pro for WooCommerce”. I contacted the developer and he told me that it’s due to “WooCommerce PayPal Payments”. So, I deactivated your plugin and it works.

    Could you share a link to the plugin “Advanced Product Fields Pro for WooCommerce”? There are few with similar names.

    Regarding the issue, please try disabling the cart simulation to see if it resolves the issue. You can do this by applying the following filter:

    add_filter( 'woocommerce_paypal_payments_simulate_cart_enabled', '__return_false' );

    You can add this filter using the Code Snippets plugin or directly to your theme’s functions.php file. Let us know if this fixes the problem.

    When I set the filter in the functions.php, the error is gone.

    add_filter( ‘woocommerce_paypal_payments_simulate_cart_enabled’, ‘__return_false’ );

    Yes, you can leave the filter in for now. However, it’s important to note that the cart simulation is responsible for bypassing the regular WooCommerce cart and instead simulates a separate cart for operations such as calculating the Pay Later messaging installment amounts on variable or composite products.

    Without the cart simulation, the PayPal Payments plugin will continue to operate, but the Pay Later messaging may not display accurate installment amounts at all times on the single product page.
