shopengine checkout template problem with email field dissappearing

    I used ShopEngine’s Builder templates “Checkout” for my store. After customizing the page (with the email field present) I try to test it but the email field (which is required) doesn’t show up. I tried various templates and nothing. No plugin is interfering, the theme isn’t the culprit either. What else could it be? I don’t know coding therefore I have no idea if there is something wrong in the background. Is somebody else having this issue? And how did you solve it? I put the store on test mode in case someone wants to try it.
