Shop Worker Permissions

    Hi there,

    I’ve got an employee who does support for me who I’d like to be able to manage my store, but don’t necessarily want seeing my financial and sales reports.

    Right now, it appears that if I set her as a shop worker, she can do nearly everything except make changes to customers – such as their email address. One common support request is when customers checkout with a type in their email address and thus don’t get their email confirmation – I’d like it if she could just update their email but right now, I need to give her full access to all my reports for her to do this.

    Additionally, she cannot view whether they were able to download the file because all download logs are bundled under reports as well.

    Any hope that this might be restructured in the future to give more power to shop workers while keeping high level plugin functionality for owner/admins?

    We pass the view_shop_reports capability through a filter for customer screens.

    You can add a filter to “edd_view_customers_role” and change the capability to something else in order to give your support team access to the customer information without revealing the shop earnings.
