shop page not displaying categories

    hi

    in the woocommerce settings, i set the Shop Page Display to display the categories and subcategories, but when i am on the shop page, it only displays all the products mixed up instead of the categories. the categories do exist, because they show up on the sidebar menu.
    i have upgraded to the latest version of woocommerce and the problem still exists.

    please help me solve this asap.

    Please try another theme; this functionality can be modified by themes without WooCommerce knowing.

    i forgot to mention, that it always used to work, and then it inexplicably stopped working. so i don’t think it’s got to do with the theme…
