    Hi!

    I am trying to add product filters to my shop page as a collapsible sidebar (as it normally is on ecommerce sites) but the filters end up getting pushed to the bottom of the page rather than appearing as a hamburger button which opens and closes to show the product filters.

    I am currently using the Elementor to edit starter template “custom printing”.

    Please help!

    Thanks
    Tarun

  • Hello @stickerbar

    We are not sure what could be exactly the reason unless we take a look.

    As currently, the website is under the Coming Soon page.

    Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Suman

    Hi Suman

    I have disabled the coming soon page. You should be able to see it now.
    Let me know if you need anything else!

    Hello @stickerbar

    Can you help us with the screenshots of the Sidebar widgets from the Appearance > Widgets?

    The Shop filters are added from the default WooCommerce filters added from the widget section.

    I hope that helps. Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Regards,
    Suman

    Hello @stickerbar

    As you can see the WooCommerce sidebar is empty it is not displaying the relevant filters.

    You will need to add the relevant widgets from the Available widgets as required and they will display the Filters and other widgets accordingly.

    Here’s the screenshot of how it is supposed to be.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi Suman,

    I’ve added a product category filter to the woocommerce sidebar but it still doesn’t show up on the shop page.

    Hello @stickerbar

    These are default WordPress and WooCommerce widgets, they need the relevant products and settings to be visible on the frontend.

    Do verify if the product has relevant settings like the Product assigned to the relevant categories and values to the respective products.

    I hope that helps.

    Suman

    Hi Suman,

    I have the relevant product categories and values assigned but it just doesn’t show up on the shop page for both mobile and desktop.

    Hello @stickerbar

    Not sure, what could be wrong.

    Can you reach out to the WooCommerce plugin authors to see what could be going wrong?

    Or else we need to take a look to suggest and confirm what could be the issue.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi Suman

    Figured out what the issue was – I had turned off the sidebar on the whole website so it wasn’t showing on the shop page as well. Went to the page and altered it’s settings to show the sidebar just on that page.

    Unfortunately, the sidebar is too wide.
    So, I added this code to reduce the width –
    div#secondary {
    width: 250px;
    }

    However, the products icons do not resize to fill the page and get shifted to the left side instead (see this screenshot). What can I do to ensure the icons resize to fill the rest of the page?

    Hello @stickerbar

    Glad that you could figure it out.

    While for the icons part, we are not sure about the issue as the screenshot provided won’t open.

    Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Regards,
    Suman
