Shipstation not pulling orders from WordPRess

    Hello,

    Our WooCommerce site is unable to connect to ShipStation to pull orders, we the error message: “An error occurred attempting to update orders: The remote name could not be resolved: ‘www.ourdomainname.com’

    When we try to reconfigure the store, when editing the marketplace connection, after entering the Authentication Key, if we click on “Test connection”, we get this error message “Object reference not set to an instance of an object.”

    This been going on for weeks now. We’ve checked with ShipStation’s support and they asked us to check to WordPress or the plugin developer.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your confirmation.

    First, can you please enable logging under WooCommerce > Settings > Integration > ShipStation. This will create logs that you can check under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs. In the logs dropdown, find the appropriate ShipStation log files.

    Meanwhile, please check if you have any firewalls or other security settings on your site. If so, you’ll want to whitelist ShipStation’s IP address to make sure the notifications can come through.

    Let’s test the ShipStation connection, in ShipStation by going to?Account Settings?(the wrench at the top)?> Selling Channels > Store Setup.

    From there, click on Connection next to your store and will need to enter your key again, found under?WooCommerce > Settings > Integration > ShipStation. This will let you know if there’s a connection problem or not. Typically, it’s due to some sort of conflict.

    Thanks for the info.

    More info about this error can be found at ShipStation documentation here.

    Please note that the error The remote name could not be resolved, means that the URL endpoint that ShipStation is trying to contact is not available, or it is not responding.

    The URL the extension is trying to reach out is not available or incorrect. Try?to reconfigure the store’s connection?to make sure ShipStation will work properly.

    Another reason could be, there is a temporary issue related to the hosting. You will want to reach out to your web host if this is the case.
