I created a new order from the admin site (WP-Admin > Woocommerce > Orders > Add Order), and I found the shipping zone is not set when I add orders this way. I’ve confirmed that the order has an address and zip code that match the shipping zone, and I’ve also confirmed that when placing an order through the customer account rather than the admin site, the shipping zone is properly set.

    Hi @acs254,

The shipping cost is not automatically added when you create an order. You’d want to click on “Add item(s)” → “Add shipping” and then enter the shipping method/cost manually using the pencil icon. This is the expected behavior though.

Automatic calculations happen on the front end of the site to facilitate sales without requiring human intervention. If you’re entering orders manually, then you get to have full control over the values that you provide.

I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved now. If you have any further questions, do open a new thread.

This issue is being raised every often,
is three an expected update for this functionality in future woo versions?

Did somebody find a workaround for this?

    Hi @yoscbd,

Please create your own forum thread, as each user’s issue requires undivided attention and they are not all the same. That way we can give correct responses to each thread, including yours.
