Shipping with postcodes not working properly

I have created a Shipping Zone called Free Delivery.
In Zone regions I have nothing selected and have added wildcard postcodes to the box below, one per line, like this TQ3*
I have added a ‘Free shipping’ method with N\A in Free shipping requires… ‘ dropdown.
At checkout if I put in TQ3 it works. TQ34 it disappears, TQ34R still gone, TQ34RT it comes back. Same with space (TQ3 4 & TQ3 4R it disappears).
Tried with 2020 theme and theme I am using.
WP 5.4.
