Shipping taxes from UK Seller to USA

    I am setting up my ecommerce site for my little business and I am new to all this. I want to know where I can find more information on calculating sales tax for the orders I receive from the USA. I am in the UK and here all I have to do is calculate a flat 20% VAT. But what do I do about orders from the USA?

    I am not able to find much information if I google this and it all gets so complicated. Does anyone have a link to a website that works this out or is there a plug-in that I could use to get this calculated?

  • You’re right, UK tax rules are complicated!!
    You’d be better off talking to an accounrant about this as getting it wrong could be a serious issue for you!
    Have a look on Facebook for local businesses support groups – you’ll get better advice there!
