    Hey!

I’ve copy/pasted pertinent parts of a ticket I submitted to WooCommerce below. (WooCommerce version is 2.6.3.) We use Woo’s USPS shipping plugin and noted issues with shipping calculations. This is in reference to https://davidsroasting.com. My comments for you follow.

    ——-
David has customers that ship his products as a gift to others. He’s noticed rate errors in these cases, so I’ve been testing to see what’s up.

What I find is I can calculate shipping to an alternative zip code in the cart view and select it, but when I go to the checkout view it changes. I’m thinking this is because I have a default shipping address in place, and the rate gets updated to reflect shipping to my zip code. The problem is that I can change the ship-to info and the rate doesn’t change. The only way I can get it to update is by selecting local pickup and then reselecting priority mail.

Users would never think to do this…. is this a known bug? How can we correct the problem?

    Hey Tricia!

Are you testing this in an incognito window or while logged out?

I tried when logged out and whatever zip code I added on the cart page, that’s what appeared on the checkout page.

When you are logged in, it remembers what your shipping postal code is, so that might be the issue.

Can you give that a try?

The issue is, of course, while logged in. I understand the checkout cart was picking up my saved shipping address. But we have customers with accounts and saved shipping addresses that login to order. If they ship a gift to someone else, we run into this bug.

I think something might be going on with the WooCommerce Checkout Manager plugin.

I did a bit of testing on my development site, using our default theme, Storefront and no other plugins.

When I go to the Checkout page, my default postal code is load and when I change to a different address, the shipping settings refresh.

I temporarily disabled the WooCommerce Checkout Manager plugin and this behavior happened on davidsroasting.com.

Can you contact the developer of that plugin for more assistance (since this isn’t developed by WooThemes)?

    ——-

He’s right. If I disable your checkout manager plugin, I can edit the shipping address, and the form auto-refreshes with a corrected shipping rate. When I reactivate it, I run into the same bug. We’re using your plugin to add a date picker field.

I’m also getting a flag that says “WooCommerce Checkout Manager Data Update Required,” but when I go through the steps to update, nothing happens. We’re using 4.0.8. I tried just downloading a new version from www.remarpro.com (the changelog shows 4.0.9) but the zipped download is still 4.0.8.

    Thanks much!

    Tricia
