    Hello,

Just reaching out to see if anyone has any recommendations on plugins that can be used for shipping. The biggest issue I can see at the moment is that we use the Measurement Price Calculator and some shipping solutions don’t read the customer specifications. So, a requirement would be that the plugin can.

What i mean by that is on sheets that are 1000mm x 1000mm x 10mm and weigh 20kg is the base product however the customer is able to specify things such as 250 x 250 x 10mm which weighs 10kg. Where it becomes an issue is where shipping calculates of the 20kg rather than 10kg which results in way overpriced shipping.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hi @birthma

I recommend the Table Rate Shipping plugin for your shipping needs. This plugin allows you to set up various shipping options based on various conditions, including weight. It’s fully compatible with the Measurement Price Calculator, so it should be able to accurately read customer specifications and calculate shipping costs.

Another option is the WooCommerce Advanced Shipping plugin. This plugin allows you to create your own shipping rates based on defined conditions, such as weight, size, and quantity.

Both plugins offer flexibility and should be able to resolve the issue of overpriced shipping costs due to incorrect weight calculations.

I hope this helps! Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance.

    Hi @shameemreza,

Thanks for the reply! When you say it is compatible with the Measurement Price Calculator can you please expand? From what I understand its outputs can’t be used for shipping purposes…

    Hello @birthma,

Thanks for the reply! When you say it is compatible with the Measurement Price Calculator can you please expand?

The extension allows you to include additional shipping options based on factors such as weight, quantity of items, shipping class, and so on.

This means that when a customer inputs their address into the WooCommerce calculator, the displayed shipping options will only appear if certain conditions are fulfilled.

You can check this guide to get a better understanding of how the extension works: https://woocommerce.com/document/table-rate-shipping/#installation

Also, just in case you’re not aware, all extensions sold on WooCommerce.com have a 30-day refund policy. If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to provide a full refund.

    Hope this helps!
