Shipping Origin different location

  • Hello,

    I am looking for a plug in that is able to have multiple origin location for shipping.

    Each order must be handled by the closest warehouse we have. And also, if a product is out of stock in one of the location, then the customer that have an order for this location should not be able to order it.

    Example:
    We have a warehouse in California, in Texas, in New York.
    A customer from California wants to place an order with Product A.
    Product A is 6 in stock in Texas, 12 in stock in New York and out of stock in California.
    Since the customer is located in California, he can only get product from the closest location to his address which is California in that case.
    As a result, he cannot order Product A since it is out of stock in California.

    I looked up few plugins such as Calculrates and Multi location inventory management.
    Unfortunately they answer to most of the problem but not the most important, the fact that Customer CANNOT order if the product isn’t available in the closest location to their home address.

    Do you know any plugins or tools to achieve that?

    You solve this with an extension like AutomateWoo by basically setting up conditional rules when an order is placed.

    For instance, if the customer lives in x, send the new order email notice to warehouse x. If the customer’s shipping address isn’t near a warehouse, you can do whatever you want. You have many triggers and actions so the sky is the limit. You can also use the extension to auto-switch order status and do much more than just send email notifications.
