Shipping Methods not restricted by Class

  • I am using your plugin to restrict shipping methods by class – we allow local pickup for items produced at our primary facility, but some items are produced out of state and we need to require shipping for those items. This was working previously but now is not. Free local pickup and Courier delivery are showing as options in the cart. Is there an update to come soon for WC 2.4 that might address this issue? (have not yet updated to 2.4.2, we’re on 2.3.13).

  • I see this was submitted months ago so hopefully you figured out your problem by now. You probably did not receive an answer because this has nothing to do with this plugin. This plugin does not define classes.

    If you want to set up shipping classes, you do so under Products > Shipping Classes. Then you need to assign one of the set up shipping classes to each product. THEN you can sort shipping by class via this plugin. Every product would need to be assigned a shipping class in order to separate shipping by class.

    For example, you could set up Class 1 for all items produced at your primary facility and Class 2 for all items produced out of state. Then assign class 1 or 2 to each product. Then set up multiple packages shipping to group by class.
