Shipping in WooCommerce is taxed even when disabled

There is an issue with my WooCommerce store whereby setting the Shipping Taxes to None in its configuration doesn’t take any effect, the store still charges a tax on shipping at the checkout as evidenced by the order details.

Since this site doesn’t allow us to attach any images nor for any meaningful editing, I’m placing a link to the thread on StackOverflow, which does.

Would appreciate pointers on how this can be fixed.
