    When I go to Orders -> Add Order and create a new order manually, everything seems to work fine in the admin section… I can auto-load (or manually input) the customers billing and shipping addresses, etc.

    But, in their account if you go to review order, or pay for order, or anything, it does not display the shipping address, only the billing address.

    EDIT: I just noticed too that on orders placed through the store, below the shipping address in the admin section it says “Via UPS Ground” … but I don’t see anywhere on manually placed orders to select or input the shipping type… so maybe that’s why it’s not registering it and/or outputting it to the customer’s account??

  • I am quite baffled that it autoloads the customers billing adress. I am looking into why it doesn’t do that for me.

    I’m assuming as long as the customer has ordered before, it should auto-load the addresses (both billing and shipping) if you select them as the “Customer” from the dropdown box when doing a search for their email address or username.

    That’s what it does on mine anyway…it just doesn’t display the shipping address on their account, invoice, etc.

    I still haven’t found a solution to the problem…but then again I haven’t really looked into the code yet since I’ve been working on other mods. Ha.

    I was just wondering if any other people had run into this problem. I found a post on another site where someone had the same problem, but no one had ever responded to their post with a solution.

    I just discovered that if you are manually adding an order, you must assign shipping costs, even if $0.00 and then update totals. This will in turn assign a shipping variable and make the shipping address show up on emails, etc.

    @edit7279 and @franz92

    thank you both this helped me realise why my billing address wasn’t showing up in emails. I had created the orders in the backend, and WC doesn’t automatically fill in the address from the user’s profile on new orders. Which seems pretty dumb to me.

    -consistently disillusioned with how ridiculous WC is-

    estimated wasted hours this year…

    Just on a related note does the shipping cost show up in the emails that are send out to the customer in your case?
    I added an order and all looks good but when I then go and see the “completed email” message the total is correct (ie. it includes the shipping cost) but the shipping cost are not shown as a line item.

    cheers
    Marco
