    Hello!

I have 2 questions I would like to ask:

1.- Is there a way to limit shipping based on the location that was selected by the client?

2.- If the client is buying 2 products from different locations, is it possible to charge twice for shipping?

    Thank you.

I try to answer both questions, forgive me if I am unable to understand or answer appropriately.

    1) You can limit the stock level so beyond that number the customer will not be able to order the items if backorder is not enabled. And obviously you can set a limit on the location based stock so from this store only a certain number can be ordered, there is a checkbox which will restrict the script not to consider the other store/locations stock while a customer is placing the order. So the answer to your question is, yes.

    2) It is a unique kind of question I have never been asked before. Till now, script automatically uses the stock from the other locations and every location can have a different stock level and product price too, we can consider the price variation with shipping charges included but it was never thought that using the other stock location by the script, price per item/qty can vary. I am thankful to you that you brought it into my attention, I will surely work on this aspect and will come back to this thread with an update later. So the answer to this question is no, if somebody is ordering an item from one location, the price will be charged according to the location/store but if script will use the stock among the locations automatically, then price will not vary, so that is the missing piece of this puzzle.

    Hi!

    Thank you for your answer.

What i meant with the first question was if there is a way to not allow customers to add products from different locations to cart. I know its a difficult one but maybe there is a way.

You said there should be a “checkbox which will restrict the script not to consider the other store/locations stock while a customer is placing the order” and i think this is what we need, but i havent been able to find it or make it work, could you provide a screenshot of where it should be?

Regarding the second question i think we overcomplicated the issue. Currently we have various options for shipping, inluding delivery to the address and picking the item up from different stores.

What we need is for the clients to be able to buy products from a single location and not mix locations in the cart. After that we need the sistem to identify the location that the client chose and only show shipping options for that location.

If the client mixes locations in the cart he should only be able to have the items delivered to his address, charging twice for shipping and maybe with different prices because the items are in different locations and not have the option to pick it up from either store.

What is happening now, is that the client can choose a location in the shop, add the item to the cart and then in the checkout form can pick another location for the pick up from the shipping options, which would make no sense and force the shop to send items between locations, to allow this to work.

I hope this clarifies the issue.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

“If the client is buying 2 products from different locations, is it possible to charge twice for shipping?”

Yes, this will be very useful because if I deliver from 2 or more warehouses, I will have additional delivery cost.

    1 product from warehouse 1 – delivery cost 5$

    1 product from warehouse 2 – delivery cost 5$

Total delivery cost per order will be only 5$, but for me the total cost for delivery is 10$ because I use 2 parcels from different warehouses, maybe located in different cities.

Thanks in advance for your answer!

    Hi!

Im still waiting on an answer for this.

In the meantime I have another problem: I can add a product to cart without having to select the location. This only happens with variable products, with simple products it works as it should.

The normal behaviour should be, that you can′t add the product to cart unless you select a location from the dropdown.

Please help in this regard, this makes the plugin not usable because it allows the client to buy a product without selecting the locatation.

I am confirming that the inquired features do not exist in this plugin yet. Closing this thread because new feature request has been noted already.
