I have no idea how to sort this. I have split the shipping zone (the Netherlands) into each shipping class because each item gave the buyer the option to choose every single class. But it doesn’t work now either: even though I assign a particular shipping class to each variety, all 3 show the same (the first two should be ‘brievenbuspakket’ of € 4,10 and the third should be ‘kartonnen koker’ of € 8,23). I have left the overall shipping class window (outside of the variety windows) empty. But still it doesn’t work.

    Hi there @tim983 ??

Shipping classes cannot be assigned to each variety

Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help you with this!
From what I gather, you’d like to set specific shipping classes for each product variation.

This can be set at a variation-level setting, as showcased in the screenshot linked directly here.

Additionally, linked below is the official documentation for assigning shipping classes to products:
    https://woocommerce.com/document/product-shipping-classes/#section-3

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know. We’re happy to help.

    @anastas10s Thanks for your reaction.

    Unfortunately.
This is precisely what I have been trying. It does not work. They all get the same shipping class, no matter how often I adjust it on variation level.

Furthermore all shipping methods are available to the customer to choose from. This is not okay; they can choose the cheapest option for the most expensive shipping method.

Is there a way to fix these 2 issues?

    Hi @tim983

    Unfortunately.
This is precisely what I have been trying. It does not work. They all get the same shipping class, no matter how often I adjust it on variation level.

I replicated the scenario on my personal site, however, I am unable to reproduce your issue here. I created 3 shipping classes and assigned them to my product variations.

    Shipping Class:

Can you please share with us a screenshot of your Shipping Settings, Shipping Classes for us to check this further?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can try https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Furthermore all shipping methods are available to the customer to choose from. This is not okay; they can choose the cheapest option for the most expensive shipping method.

All shipping methods will be displayed to your customer based on their shipping address.

In order to display a specific shipping method per customer or per shipping address, you would either need to define each ZIP/Postcode per Zone so that it would be tailored for each address. Alternatively, there are also several plugins which could help you achieve this.

    Hope this helps!

@xue28 Thanks so much for your response. I was desperate, but when you said it was impossible to copy my situation I got hope.

I threw everything out and started from scratch. It all works now!

    Thanks again!
