Shipping charges – Max items and surcharge

    Hi.

    Ive setup shipping with Distance and Size of item. (3 sizes – Small, Medium, Large)
    Distance also 3 options.
    All of this is working fine. BUT… I need help as my client request the following:

    Big items to be capped at 4 items, then a surcharge to be added. If the amount reach 8 in the cart – a new rule needs to be applied for manual Quotation on the shipping.

    Is this at all possible with a formula?

    Yes, it is possible to achieve your client’s request. You can use Shipping classes with WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping or WooCommerce Advanced Shipping plugin to set up complex shipping rules.

    For your specific needs, you can set up a rule to add a surcharge when the cart contains 4 large items and another rule to require a manual quotation when the cart contains 8 items.

    If you’re not already using these plugins, you’ll find them very useful. They offer much flexibility and can handle a wide range of shipping scenarios.
