This is REALLY annoying: the shipping calculator stopped working after updating the E-Commerce plugin. I’m using the “Weight / Country and Region Shipping” module to calculate the shipping cost per country.

Nothing happens though when selecting a country. Customers cannot continue to checkout.

    Anyone got a resolution?

  • The story so far:
    -Updated WP eCommerce plugin
    -shipping module broken
    -deactivated all plugins (except e-commerce)
    -shipping module broken
    -changed theme to Twenty Ten
    -shipping module broken
    -restored WP eCommerce plugin V3.8.12.1
-swapped theme back to Twenty Eleven
    -shipping module works

    Next suggestion please guys.

    Oh, by the way

    NOT RESOLVED

    Hi Robin,

I updated the topic to reflect that it is indeed not resolved. We’re working on a fix for this – if you’d like, we’d be happy to debug the issue directly on your site. Email WP admin credentials to either myself (justinsainton at gmail dot com) or Jeff (jeff at pyebrook dot com) and we’ll be happy to assist.

Otherwise, I expect we’ll have the 3.8.14.1 release out within 24 hours.

I forgot to mention: the tax calculation is also broken in the checkout.

BTW: I did the same as Robin did, without any result. So it’s pretty obvious it’s the E-commerce plugin that’s the problem.

I could, but we switched back to a previous installation. So nothing to see anymore.

    Updated to 3.8.14.1

    It is still broken.
Now I get the error message

Fatal error: Call to a member function getQuote() on a non-object in /homepages/13/d131740755/htdocs/calendars/wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-includes/cart.class.php on line 451

    restored V3.8.12.1 and everything fine.

Mine has been broken for nearly a week now. This is disgustingly pathetic. Why have you not fixed the update yet?!

    Hi CrawlingChaosProductions,

Disgustingly pathetic seems a bit harsh for free software, but hey, we’ll take what we can get.

Feel free to email me WordPress admin credentials and I’d be more than happy to debug. WIth 3.8.14.1, we were able to debug and mitigate several separate issues that all manifested in this same issue. More than happy to help figure out what is causing this for you.

    Robin,

What shipping method do you have enabled?

    Justin,

I tried upgrading to 3.8.14.1 again. This time, no error messages, but the shipping problem remains.

    This is what I see

Shipping module is ‘Flat rate’ with prices set for Domestic, Europe, North America.

Now rolled back to working version.

It’s difficult not to be harsh when I have been losing business and money because of this issue. Surely you can understand my frustrations?

Anyway, I am emailing you now.

It’s been 22 hours and I have not heard anything back… what is going on?!

    (@crawlingchaosproductions)

Emailing now. Hopefully this can be fixed very soon as I have not been able to sell any products in a week now.

@mihai – we’re having the same issues with tax and shipping… Can I forward admin info to you as well?
