Shipping Address replacing Billing Address in Paypal

  • When using Paypal Express, I’ve noticed that if you enter a different shipping address from the billing address, the process is really messed up.

    If you enter 2 addresses, once it kicks you over to Paypal, it shows the shipping address IN the billing address field. You then have to re-enter both addresses to be correct.

    If you do not have the ‘Enables the option to skip the final review page’ checked, it will bring you back to WooCommerce, but only brings back the shipping address….’Set billing address in WooCommerce using the address returned by PayPal. (PayPal only returns a shipping address back to the website. Enable this option if you would like to use this address for both billing and shipping in WooCommerce.) So again, it wont allow for two different addresses.

    Lastly, if I set it up to skip the review page, that means at least I’m only making my customers fill out the billing/shipping 2x instead of 3x, but then I notice on the receipt from woo-commerce, it only shows the billing address and not the shipping.

    Any ideas on how to straighten this out??

    Which version of WC are you running? Our current release is not compatible with WC 3.0, but I am literally working right now to get all of the updates merged and tested on GitHub so we can get our 1.4.0 update released. This update adds WC 3.0 compatibility as well as lots of other new features and improvements, including a complete overhaul of the way Express Checkout is integrated into WC.

    At this point I would probably just recommend you wait another day or two until you see our 1.4.0 update released, and then go ahead and get WC updated to 3.0 if you haven’t already at the same time as updating our plugin. Then if there are more issues we can work with you to resolve those quickly.

    Our site is using WC Version 2.6.11 right now. We haven’t updated yet. But I’ve also seen the issue on a website using WC version 3.0. I will check back in a few days for your update to see if it fixes this.

    Okay, interesting. But yeah, at this point would be better to move forward with the updates and resolve any necessary issues there. We’re almost done with it!

    I am having the same issue as described above and have the latest updates installed across the board. The shipping address is being pulled over to PayPal and inserted as the billing address. How can I solve this issue?

    We are working on a 1.4.6.2 update right now that will resolve this. We should have it released within a day or two.
