I have WP3 blog – updated from WPMY 2.9.2 – with subdomains, and now have to shift the domain on the same server though. I have done such things in single site installations but need help to get through this one in a multi-site installation.

  • Like I said in your other thread – login to phpmyadmin or whatever you have to access the database directly, and look for the old domain there. replace it with the new one.

    Hi Andrea,
Ultimately I have succeeded in that, I generated a SQL script and did a search and replace before importing it into the new database.
The other thing I missed time and again was the ‘SiteURL’ setting being set from the configuration file which I was not used to – it was initially configured by WPMUDev on the old domain.
Now am faced with another silly challenge of changing the upload folder for this addon domain as have posted in an other post.
    Thanks for your support.
