I’m not sure if this is an incompatibility or a known issue. I can’t find any good documentation online. Hopefully it’s not a common sense thing.

I’m trying to add reCaptcha V3 to my Ninja form on my website. Whenever I was trying to add it I was getting the error “reCaptcha validation couldn’t load”. I started disabling plugins and after disabling Shield Security reCaptcha started working immediately.

So, does that mean I either have to
    1) pay for Shield Security Pro to get reCaptcha to work or
    2) choose between Shield Security and reCaptcha

I can’t see any reason how Shield would be affect reCAPTCHA working from another plugin. What is the plugin you’re using to implement reCAPTCHA v3?

So I guess there’s no fix for this?

    Hi,

We haven’t had an opportunity to investigate this, but we will. We prioritise support for our paid members and this is more acute over any holiday period. When we have had a chance to dig deeper, we’ll let you know ASAP.

    Thanks.

If you’ve configured Shield’s recaptcha settings, please remove them and retest (https://ninjaforms.com/blog/recaptcha-isnt-working-on-your-wordpress-form/#v3-4 ), or upgrade to the latest version of Shield as it’s all been removed. If none of that applies to you, you can ignore it.

We can’t reproduce this at all. Could you setup the same scenario with broken recaptcha and send a link to it? I’d like to see any on-page console errors, if any.

I can’t leave it turned on since there’s no guarantee when you’ll get to it and I can’t have my forms not working until you do. I tested with reCaptcha on and off and the Console doesn’t change at all.

If recaptcha isn’t loading correctly, then there would probably need to be some sort of javascript error in the browser console.

Could you clone the site onto a staging site to reproduce the problem for debugging?

When I get some time to do that, sure.
