HI,

I’m using this shortcode: [Sassy_Social_Share total_shares=”ON”], and recently (I think, after the last plugin update) the total count data disappeared on all posts. When troubleshooting the page with the Facebook debugger, I see the following warnings:

Admins And App ID Missing

Share App ID Missing

How can I recover the shared data?

Hi there,

You can check the Facebook shares of the webpage at the following link:
https://graph.facebook.com/?id=https://makeitright.ca/holmes-advice/bathroom-renovation/when-its-time-to-grout/
This is the Facebook API, plugin depends upon to show Facebook shares. And Twitter shares can be seen in your Twitcount account dashboard.
Problem is not related to plugin update. You would like to check if you changed the url structure in the meantime. As shares are tracked on url basis, a slight change in the url could cause the shares to be reset to 0.

Since the URL was not changed, could the changing of the post publishing date have the same result?

Another question: in the previous plugin version (I didn’t yet update it on another website) the shortcode displays the counter info, even if it’s 0 (example:https://holmesapprovedhomes.com/builder-blogs/our-commitment-to-energy-efficiency/). In the new version it does not. Is this how you intended it to be? (Just trying to make sure I don’t have any script that prevents the data to be printed on the page correctly).

Changing the post publishing date shouldn’t affect the number of shares.
I can see the 0 shares at both of your websites. See the screenshots below:

If you give me url of any such webpage where there are shares but these are not appearing, would be able to have a look.

Clear the share counts cache from “Miscellaneous” section at plugin options page and refresh the webpage. Might be some temporary glitch.
