Sharing buttons and Yoast meta tags

Hi,
I’m trying to figure out how to use Yoast meta tags (e.g. “twitter:description”) with Elementor’s “Sharing buttons” widget. I want to customize sharing text on each of the social networks using the Yoast social field editor(https://www.dropbox.com/s/6v569h52jezihkc/Twitter%20excerpt.png?dl=0). All of the mate tags work as expected(https://screenshots.client-demo-site.net/Selection_20190917_4969a72.png) but I’m still unable to get this text when I’m using sharing buttons.
So I’m curious, where do all of the sharing fields(text for each of the social networks, titles, etc) go from? I’ve reviewed the sharing widget code but haven’t found the answer.
