    Hi there,

    A small question:
I want to create a multisite setup with two sites:
    example.com
    test.com
I want to share posts on both sites
    Post A to example.com
    Post B to test.com
    Post C to example.com and test.com

Is this an issue for 1. SEO? and 2. for SEO framework?
Can I somehow tell google that an article is connected on both sites?
I’m trying to avoid duplicate content.

    Thanks

    Hello!

Google once implemented support for meta tags syndication-source and original-source (source, pun intended), but I cannot find actual information on that topic. So, I recommend not using those tags.

Currently, they recommend using canonical URLs for that: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/crawling/consolidate-duplicate-urls.

    From that page:

There are a number of reasons why you would want to explicitly choose a canonical page in a set of duplicate or similar pages:
To manage syndicated content. If you syndicate your content for publication on other domains, you want to ensure that your preferred URL appears in search results.

I cannot tell whether Google will “understand” that the article is connected on both sites. But through canonicalization, you can prevent publishing duplicated content.

If you do nothing, it’s up to the search engines to choose the “correct” location of the post, which will save you time but may be undesirable.
