Shared Facebook/Twitter/Linkedin posts showing shortcode tags

  • Hello there, thanks for the plugin –?looks great!

    The WordPress site in question uses the Divi theme and its module to create the page elements.

    When I click on the Social Share buttons to share any page, in particular Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin, the shared post includes the shortcode and not the excerpt or the Yoast SEO description for that page.

    So it looks like:

    Home
    [et_pb_section admin_label=
    WEBSITEDOMAIN.COM | BY AUTHOR NAME –> This displays correctly

    I have also tried installing NGFB plugin to see if it solves the description for the page, but it doesn’t.

    So after tried using Yoast, NGFB and setting the page’s excerpt manually, I think the issue may be with this plugin?

    Looking forward to some ideas on how to get this fixed ??

  • I am also having this issue, and it’s a shame because I love the plugin and want to use it.

    Is there any way around it??

    We too have noticed this issue; we are using the Qode theme with visual composer; everything is up to date.

    We are also looking for ideas to figure out how to get this resolved. Is the devrloper actively monitoring this forum?
