SHAREAHOLIC EMAIL POPUP

  • Hi, I’m using Shareaholic for WordPress v7.8.0.1

    I’d like to be able to FORCE the behavior of the email share button to open the mailto: link in a NEW TAB.

    Right now, on my browser, it’s opening in the same window.

    I’ve seen a post about this from two years ago. At that time, Shareaholic replied that this was a browser-specific setting, and each visitor would have a different experience based on their own browser settings.

    However, this is not good enough. Most users are not aware of this setting, and will simply be annoyed that they were exited out of the website they were visiting.

    I believe Shareaholic should have a way of OVERRIDING the user’s browser settings regarding mailto: popups.

    Please know if there is a way to implement this at this time.
