“Share This” (plugin) & “iMP Auto Slimbox” (plugin) JS Conflict

  • Hello Everyone,

    I am encountering a Javascript conflict between two plugins, “Share This” and “iMP Auto Slimbox. When I turn “Share This” off, “iMP Auto Slimbox” works – which similar to the “Lightbox” plugin, overlays images on a page.

    I LOVE both of these plugins and really want to find a way to make them work together, but I’m not a javascript pro.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • I’m having the exact same problem. The funny thing is, the author of “iMP Auto Slimbox” is actually using the “Share This” plugin on his website!

    Any javascript gurus out there that might know where the conflict is coming from?

    The overlay works and the white container appears, but the images and “next,” “previous” and “close” buttons are not there as well as the description text, which you will see if you try clicking on any thumbnail here: https://jesseddy.com/blog/

    Well – I couldn’t find a solution for this plugin conflict, so I replaced iMP Auto Slimbox with “iBox” and the two plugins are working beautifully together.

    It’s too bad as iBox doesn’t have the gallery function for more than one image/thumb and it does not automatically insert the “rel” info – but it works with the “Share This” plugin!

    For some reasons slimbox doesn’t work well with my WordPress whereas Lightbox 2 works better.

    Hello all,

    I’m the author of iMP Auto Slimbox plugin. And onlycodered it’s true, i’m also using ShareThis plugin too in my website.

    For someone that having this problem, try to reordered the js insert code. So js code for iMP Auto Slimbox comes first than ShareThis js code. For the details please check my website source.

    By the way, the conflict is between javascript. Cause Slimbox is using mootools and ShareThis is using prototype with small code insert by the author.
