• I want to be able to share subcategories over several parent categories. I assume this is possible, because a category is just a tag, database wise. The advantage would be that I could either get out the data of all companies, organisations, or ordered per country.

    + Austria (cat)
    |- Companies (subcat)
+ Bundesbahn is lacking rails (post)
    |- Organisations (subcat)
+ Atomstopp is blocking the border again (post)
    |- Governments (subcat)
+ austrian governments joins african union (post)
    + Belgium (cat)
    |- Companies (subcat)
     + Electrabel stops nuclear (post)
    |- Organisations (subcat)
+ Friends of the Earth exposes major weapon scam (post)
    |- Governments (subcat)
+ Belgium government agrees to split country (post)
    +Czech Repulbic (cat)
    |- Companies (subcat)
     + Czech railway trouble (post)
    |- Organisations (subcat)
     + Hnuti Duha description (post)

  • A Category can only have ONE parent.

Tags have no hierarchy, meaning a tag can’t have a parent or a child.

But you might use tags because you can develop tag intersection queries.

Allright then, is it then possible to produce overviews of [all the posts in the Czech category], [All industry tagged items] and [All industry tagged items in the Czech category]?
