• I think I asked this before. Imagine that a user (not me) is trying to help another user. They want to find a script.

    They go here:

    https://www.publictalksoftware.co.uk/custom-workbook-scripts/

    The difficult thing is if they want to isolate just one of those download links to send to the other user. Ideally each fancy box should have a “share” link which goes direct to the download page. This link only needs to be visible:

    When you are listing a group of downloads
    When you have searched for downloads

    Side note:

    Why was this line-height so large? Was it caused by my theme?

    .sdm_download_title {
        float: left;
        font-size: 24px;
        font-weight: bold;
        line-height: 75px;
    }

    I have used custom CSS to reset the line height back to normal.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Check the following link miscellaneous-shortcodes-and-shortcode-parameters. Look for the following title Download URL That Can be Used in an Email or in a Link in the documentation.

    It might have been implemented by your theme. You can find out by carrying out a test, by testing one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Nineteen.

    Kind regards

    Thanks. But can’t we add a new attribute to the fancy short code for share? And this be built automatically in the download box? A user will have no idea wheat the download iD is or any knowledge to construct a direct download.

    I admit I could but it in the description area of the download but it might be something to think about as an optional improvement for those that need it.

    Hi, At the moment we don’t have a social sharing option which is what you are looking for I believe. Since every download has a specific page for it, we assumed that the standard social sharing plugin that you maybe using on the site (which will put a sharing option for every posts and pages of your site), should do the job.

    We will look at a feature that can potentially add the social sharing option inside the fancy display template.

    Thanks. Whilst a plugin to add share links works, it is of no use when you have a list of fancy downloads and want to share a link to just one in the list.

    Thanks for considering.
