Share Buttons – Number of Shares not Displaying

I updated Jetpack to 2.2.5 and the number of shares for each button has disappeared. How do I get them back? Also, as the rest of the world would probably like, why is there not a setting for having the share buttons at the top? I had to use a “hack” to do this, but every time Jetpack updates they show up again at the bottom. Is this something coming soon?
