Share a post from WordPress with image and link to the post

    I would like to share a post from WordPress. The post already has featured image. If I choose share a post with image, the image is posted to Facebook page, but it doesn’t link to the post.

    Is that possible to post featured image to a Facebook page, with its link to the post, not the image itself?

    Thanks for the inquiry.

    Automator absolutely supports what you want. Try using the “Share a link with a message to a Facebook page” action. Make sure your post has the featured image set before you publish it, and then your action might include tokens like this: https://share.cleanshot.com/NwtSDPzV (this assumes a trigger like “a user publishes a post”). In that example, you can see how we’re setting a link to the post and include information about the post in the message.

    On the Facebook side, this action and those settings would create a post that looks like this: https://share.cleanshot.com/JSLNq7xt. The image is automatically added based on the featured image of the post.
