Hi, I’m using the shape divider to create an angled edge (Tilt) with the right hand side 50px higher than the left (slope up from left to right). To achieve this, I need to choose ‘bottom’ position and then the ‘flip’ option. This works fine in Firefox and Chrome, but in IE, there is no change, and the tilt still slopes down from left to right. Anything I can do to force the transition?

    Thanks

I cannot help you with this, but am wondering if you are describing a feature found only in the Pro version. I presume you are talking about the object “Divider”, but I cannot find any flip option for it.

    Hi,

The shape divider is in the free version.
Can you share the url where this is happening so I can check it here in IE?
Is your IE updated because it is a rather outdated browser. Edge is its new brother…

When I check out one of my sites where I use the shape divider and open it in IE 11 it is distorded too. When I open that same page in its new brother Edge browser it looks just fine. Not sure if Elementor still supports IE 11?

    This might be interesting too:

Likely because IE11 only partially supports CSS flex which is what Elementor uses. There are a lot of bugs that never got worked out in IE11 and the flex alignment capability is one of them.

You can fix it with some alternative css but without an example it’s hard to suggest any specifics for you.

    Browsers

Please note that you can use Elementor with Safari, Chrome and Firefox. You will not be able to edit with Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

In any case, pages built with Elementor will show up in all the browsers.

Sorry for being dense, but are you talker about “Divider” or are you talking about something else? Again, I see no “flip” option.

    Hi Josiah,

We are talking about the shape divider, please look at my screenshot:

Thanks for the replies. I’m working using a host file change so can’t provide a live example, but here’s an annotated screenshot https://pasteboard.co/GTrezyx.jpg

I am using the latest version of WordPress and Elementor Free.

@logologics – thanks for pointing out the requirements – my bad for not reading these sooner, but I was surprised to see Edge not supported for editing (not so IE). Has there been any indication that at least Edge will be supported in future? I imagine a lot of my clients are still using IE so this might be an issue for some.

Has anyone tried editing on an iPad?

    Hi,

I am only a user and can only refer to Elementors docs about that.
It does not seem to be something that will happen in the future, as they do not say ” for now it is not possible” like they do about mobile editing.

That answers your quenstion about editing on an iPad, they say “mobile editing” is not possible “for now”. Editing on a small screen is a pain I for one try to avoid as much as possible haha.

Regarding the browser. Clients who are still working with IE11 should be strongly adviced to switch to a modern and up to date browser, for more then one good reasons.
If you pitch it right, they will see its not that big a deal to have more then one browser on their computer. If they have trouble letting go of IE, they can still keep/cherish ?? it for a while, just not for editing their site for example?

Thanks for the advice @logologics. I’ve ditched the tilt shape divider for now.
