• Good Day,

SiteGround has always supported making websites run faster and more efficiently.

Based on the above, can you provide an update on SiteGround’s implementation of HTTP/3 (QUIC) for its customers and possibly integrate it into SG Optimizer as an optional setting?

SiteGround published a blog on March 26, 2019 stating that it offers HTTP/3 (QUIC), but that is not quite true as verified by this online tool. We submitted a blog comment for an update, but never heard back from SiteGround.

And here’s the funny thing … your own website supports HTTP/3 (QUIC), but you’re not offering it yet to your customers.

HTTP/3 (QUIC) is offered by other hosting companies and is supported by most browsers worldwide.

An update on your implementation of HTTP/3 (QUIC) for your customers (directly or via SGO) is appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Our team is still working on the HTTP/3 implementation after we migrated to our new hosting environment. Below you can find our official statement(within the “UPDATE” box):

    https://www.siteground.com/blog/quic/

We cannot provide an ETA, but once we are ready with the deployment we will update the blog post and activate the feature.

    Best Regards,

    Hi @dimitar,

Yes, we read that. It’s been almost two years since that update was posted.

Can you share more about the delay? What are the constraints?

Also, as an option, does SG CDN Premium offer HTTP/3 (QUIC) like Cloudflare does?

    Thank you.

Currently, our CDN does not support QUIC protocol. Also, we cannot provide more information on the status of the implementation in question or an ETA. Please note that this is a forum related to the WordPress plugin that we provide. If you have further questions on the matter, you can contact us directly from your SiteGround User Area > Contact Us section.

    Best Regards,
    Dimitar Petrov
