    Hello,

Thank you for this helpful software.

I am trying your plugin and downloaded the archive file. However, I use an Ubuntu desktop and the SGBP Extractor is not available for this platform – it is only for Windows and MacOS. Do you plan to create this utility for Ubuntu?

Secondly, since I did not choose a remote location during backup, is there a way to manually push a backup from my server to Dropbox later?

Lastly, the plugin asked me to restore either files or DB or both. But there was no such prompt while taking the backup. Am I missing something?

    Kind regards

    Hi @backpackingseries,

Thank you too for the kind words.

We have a an extractor feature that works on Windows and MacOs.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t apply for Ubuntu, anyways we can offer two types of solutions.

    1. You can send us the SGBP archive so that we can extract the content and send you a zip file.
    2. If you have some minor technical skills, we can give you a PHP script that you can run and extract your SGBP archive.

As for the second inquiry, for now we don’t have a feature for already backed up files to add to Dropbox. Anyways, you can do this manually by downloading the file and uploading to Dropbox.

Lastly, is it possible that you have updated the plugin recently?
May I ask you to try with the Incognito mode of your browser?

I will be waiting for your answer.

    Thank you @backupguard

For some reason, WordPress did not email me your response. Hence the delay to reply.

Point#3 sorry, it was my oversight. Plugin offers the option to back db or files.

Point#1 yes, I should be able to work with a php script if you could please provide few instructions for archive extraction on Ubuntu desktop.

    Dear @backpackingseries,

That’s strange, we haven’t seen your reply either.

Please, download the following file: https://we.tl/t-h2G8nnKnC2
Extract the file and move it to your local host.
You will see several files of the archive versions in the sgbp-extractor folder.

Go to the v5 folder and paste your archive in this folder.

You will see your backup name if you go to the following URL after completing the steps above: https://localhost/sgbpExtractor/v5/extract.php
