Hi there! Thanks for such a great complement.

Does the plugin block all bots? Or do you have a list of bots to block? If I have a list, is it possible to add new bots to that list?

The damage they do to the CPU is incredible. Thanks ??

    Hello @kiweame,

Bot protection is something which should be applied on a server level in order to avoid such bot attack to reach the PHP (website and eventually the plugin). Plugin level bot protection is not the optimal way to reduce the CPU usage caused by them.

In case your website is hosted with SiteGround, we provide Anti-Bot AI which works on a server level and blocks such attacks. You can find out more information here: https://www.siteground.com/blog/new-anti-bot-ai/

If your website is not hosted with SiteGround, you can apply .htaccess rules agains bots user agents or contact the current hosting provider and discuss the server level protection they provide.

    Best Regards,

    Elena

Thank you very much for the information! I already understand clearly :). Yes, I am in SiteGround but unfortunately bots enter and the CPU exceeds all the limit and well I am investigating what to do. With the information you provided me, I already know where to go, grateful!
