    Hi,

I have noticed that once I activate SG Optimizer I very quickly hit the maximum CPU allowance in Siteground.

It seems that the only solution is to keep SG Optimizer switched off (just checked this with SG helpdesk chat).

Has any one else had the same problem and have you been able to solve it or could you recommend another plugin instead of SG Optimizer?

    Thanks

The plugin uses CPU because it does a lot of things for your site. That’s just normal. However, the problem in your case is that you are not using the SiteGround Dynamic caching but your caching is set on Sucuri. So each Sucuri – SiteGround interraction is dynamic and uses memory. Most probably it is not even the SG Optimizer plugin but it hooks in many places and is detected by your checks. I would recommend making sure that the Dynamic caching is working and only THEN applying another layer of caching through Sucuri if you even need that.

    Hi,
Thanks for your quick response. I indeed did have Sucuri caching on but have now switched
this off, however I now again have very high CPU and I do not understand what causes this. I am grateful for any tips of advice.

I also note that memcached does not stay switched on, the toggle keeps switching itself off. I wonder if this has to do with the high CPU?
